The position is directly responsible for sourcing of new commercial mortgage investments in assigned territories that deliver competitively superior investment performance. This individual is responsible for the all aspects of the investment process from sourcing to closing mortgages, managing relationships with Borrowers and Intermediaries and managing and developing staff as needed.
Accountable sourcing, structuring, and closing of real estate debt transactions in assigned territories to meet client investment objectives.
Develops and maintains relationships with key Borrowers and Intermediaries in assigned markets.
Prepares written material and makes oral presentations for required committee approvals.
Responsible for the integration of key internal and external business partners into the investment process.
Demonstrates broad understanding of CRI investment strategies, as well as the general economic and real estate conditions within assigned markets.
Contributes to development of Mortgage strategy and tactics.
Leads implementation of strategy and tactics in assigned territories.
Effectively cross-sells CRI investment programs (Debt, Equity and Funds) to outside clients, partners and prospects.
Actively develops, motivates and evaluates CRI analysts
Proactively identifies problems, recommends solutions and implements recommendations
5 to 10 years of debt origination and real estate acquisition experience.
Proven track record of sourcing and closing institutional quality commercial mortgages ranging from $10 – $50 million
Proven relationship building skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Bachelors degree in related field strongly preferred. MBA preferred.
