Educational Requirements:
1. Basic reading and writing skills
2. Prefer high school diploma or GED

Experience Required:
1. Basic knowledge of produce preferred
2. Minimum of six (6) months experience operating an electric stand-up forklift
3. Prior replenishment experience in a fast paced warehouse required
4. Basic understanding of FIFO System (First In First Out) as well as
5. Excellent organizational skills
6. Ability to read, write , and speak English (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
2. Positions forks under, over, or around loads pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area
3. Physically unloads and stacks material when necessary or by raising and lowering lifting device
4. Inventories material on work floor, and supplies other associates with materials as needed
5. Physically loads or unloads materials onto or pallets, skids, or lifting device
6. Performs pre-shift and post-shift inspection of assigned equipment
7. Hauls freight from dock to correct slots
8. Replenishments (Demand and Non-demand)
9. Makes pallets available at dock as needed
10. Reports any warehouse management system exceptions to supervisor
11. Report any safety incidents and concerns to supervisor immediately
12. Is aware of any broken or bad pallets and corrects them
13. Removes hanging plastic from product or pallets before placing in reserve slots
14. Corrects or repositions any fallen misaligned pallets in pick slots
15. Place pallet squarely and safely in slots while exercising care with sprinkler heads and water lines
16. Constantly watches lift path when raising the forks to prevent possible safety incidents
17. Segregates unstable or bad pallets and stores them in the appropriate area
18. Maintains acceptable appearance of coolers

19. Follow supervisors cleaning schedule
20. Maintains acceptable housekeeping standards to include mopping standing water immediately
21. Maintains pick slots stocked with product at all times and fulfills call downs in a timely manner
22. Maintains a constant flow of communication with Supervisor or Manager
23. Must work with other associates in a professional manner at all times
24. Responsible for working until relieved by supervisor; this may require working longer than scheduled shift; shift begins at specified start time and has no specified end time
25. Actively participates in end of day clean up
26. Ensures slots are clean and free from debris
27. Performs other tasks as requested by management
28. Comply with and ensure adherence to departmental Preferred Work Methods (PWMs)
29. Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
30. Holiday, Weekend and Overtime work required
31. Good attendance and adherence to work schedule
32. Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices, Company Policies, Code of Conduct and Safety
(food and occupational) procedures

Physical Requirements:
1. Continuous strenuous moving of product weighing up to 50 lbs. during the shift; infrequent moving of product up to 80 lbs. during the shift
2. Continuous bending, squatting, pushing and pulling
3. Constant standing and walking
4. Must have the ability to talk and hear; must be able to hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment
5. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
6. Must exhibit a required level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform position
7. Must have the ability to work in a cold cooler environment for periods of time in excess of 8 hours

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels.
The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts Walking and working is done on concrete flooring, Some duties are performed in the warehouse and will require work to be done in varying climates Temperatures range from zero in the coolers to 95 degrees Fahrenheit or above outdoors The shift end-time fluctuates with the employer’s daily needs.
The associate occasionally works in high and precarious places.
