We are searching for a Mid-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer for our Orlando, FL office.
The successful candidate will possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of civil/environmental engineering to the completion of challenging assignments. Perform civil and environmental projects in accordance with appropriate state and federal regulations. Tasks will involve site investigations, permit preparations, engineering studies and designs related to civil and environmental projects. Perform field assessments as directed by supervisor. The candidate may also be requested to support other projects/programs such as water system distribution studies, remediation/construction management, and environmental testing programs.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform and manage project tasks in the public and private sector.
Participate in functions involving contact with client representatives and Regulatory agencies. Work/coordinate with project team personnel
Perform technical functions for various projects supporting environmental, engineering and construction endeavors
Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phase of technical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope
Preparation and review of engineering documents
Supervise and coordinate the work of junior level staff on projects as appropriate. Provide technical direction and guidance to CADD operators, designers, technicians and field personnel
Overnight travel/multi-day deployment to locations within the continental United States is required
Bachelors (B.S.) or Masters Degree (M.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required. Florida P.E. license, or ability to obtain one within two years, and minimum of 4 years of related experience is required. Groundwater remediation design, implementation and monitoring/reporting in Florida, and at Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral Air Station experience is desired. Knowledge of geo-chemistry, geology, erosion and sedimentation controls, and geotechnical engineering are a plus.
