The company owns and operates a large and growing portfolio of niche multi-family assets in various locations across the country.

The ideal candidate will be an organized and motivated self-starter with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. We are seeking a Regional Asset/Property
Manager to be an integral member of the Richmond, VA office and Operations team with significant accountability for a distinct sub-portfolio that typically includes over 2,500 units across the country.

The primary responsibility of an asset manager is to increase the value of each asset within this sub-portfolio.
This is typically accomplished by identifying and implementing initiates that will increase revenue, achieve structural cost savings by efficiently deploying additional capital and rationalizing expenditures.
In short, the Regional Asset / Portfolio Manager acts as the owner of each of the properties under his/her control.

Monitor and improve performance metrics for multifamily portfolio
Track, analyze, forecast and reforecast trends in financial performance and business plan execution
Prepare financial reporting packages for senior management on monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis, including identification and tracking of key performance indicators, variance reporting, cash forecasting, capital management, and specific customized required reports specific to the account
Facilitate building and automating custom financial reports in Excel
Critically evaluate existing real estate operations and business plan execution to identify new strategies to drive ROI and maximize investor returns throughout the portfolio
Prepare presentations for various groups as needed
Prepare investor reports and respond to inbound investor inquiries, as directed
Frequent travel to property sites in multiple states
Assist with analysis of property sectors, real estate and economic trends
Perform special projects, analysis and reporting as requested
Manage vendor relationships and approve scope and quality of work
Responsible for the regular reporting of status for all work in process.

Monitor and interpret property level financial statements

Although not required, a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Finance/Real Estate/Accounting; would be a plus.
2-4 years of financial and data analysis, asset management, investment analysis, property operations, forecasting preferred.
Proficiency with accounting and financial software.
