Resource Energy Systems (RES) provides highly customized energy management solutions to many of the worlds largest commercial real estate companies. At RES we develop and implement energy strategies that reduce expenses, minimize risk and generate profitable revenue streams. These strategies include power and gas procurement, providing redistribution calculations, conducting sustainability analysis/reporting and other key energy related services.
The Director of Sales will help further accelerate the companys growth by regularly meeting and exceeding clearly defined sales objectives. Have proven ability and experience building and leading a team of sales professionals. The right candidate for this position will be a results-driven individual who can use a consultative sales strategy to effectively understand our customers needs, communicate the value of our services and continuously close new business. This individual must be comfortable with all new business development activities associated with maintaining a consistent pipeline of new prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Build, develop, manage and lead a sales team to effectively target all prospective customers across the Unites States.
– Develop, implement and execute a sales strategy for the sales team that results in regular achievement of revenue objectives.
– Plan, lead and coordinate business development activities across the United States.
– Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in order to meet and exceed sales objectives.
– Maintain and grow existing customer base.
– Develop strong understanding of our value proposition in order to effectively answer prospect / customer questions about our products and services.
– Prepare and present sales proposals offering energy procurement, redistribution, sustainability, demand response solutions, and energy strategies to current and prospective customers.
– Prospect and convert leads into profitable business relationships.
– Analyze customer energy and facility data to understand a companys energy management needs.
– Negotiate and close contracts for energy management related services with new clients.
– Provide Resource Energy Systems leadership team with customer insight in order to facilitate ideas on how to continuously improve product offerings and go to market strategies.
Qualifications:
– Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience managing a sales team required.
– 7-10 years of outside and B2B sales experience required.
– Proven leadership and the ability to drive and build sales teams required.
– Proven ability to close sales required.
– Energy Management Solutions sales experience is preferred.
– Must have proven ability to develop strong customer relationships.
– A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
– Previous experience selling to large commercial real estate companies preferred.
– Prior experience within the energy market; such as energy supply, procurement, redistribution or energy software preferred.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Strong listening and presentation skills.
